ABOUT

Didier has never walked the conformist path. His journey has taken him across a landscape of diverse experiences and insights that provides a uniquely rich perspective to his eye and his art. He was born in Africa and educated in England and France. He travelled extensively as a child living in Africa, India, Canada and Hong Kong, and ever since, his fascination for the astounding diversity of our world has seen him fill many passports with the exotic stamps of travel visas, giving him a way to look at life that is exclusively his.
He started a career in 1986 as an investment banker in the London financial markets prior to co-founding and managing 2 companies in 1991 in London, UK and in 1998 in Los Angeles, CA, USA.
Before arriving to the U.S in 1996, Didier took a 2-year sabbatical from his professional life to travel the world where he toured Southeast Asia, Australia and the Pacific Rim. He trekked Mount Everest and the Annapurnas, spent time with the Mentawi shamans in the Indonesian rain forests of Siberut Island off the coast of Sumatra and sailed across the Pacific on a 37ft Catamaran (to name a few of his world adventures), all the while growing in spiritual awareness. During that time he became an accomplished scuba diver and qualified Dive Master, volunteering for research on Whale Sharks in Australia and diving in many of the world‘s remotest sites.
He is an enthusiast of the wilderness, world travel, photography and his son.
Didier recently relocated to Manhattan, NY from Las Vegas, NV where he now divides his time between real estate and business consulting.
However, his passion is photography, especially the challenge of capturing the unique moment that defines an emotion, a mood and a truth in a way that deeply resonates with him. His vision courts Didier’s work from his landscapes and portraits to his wildlife and candid photography. He always has his camera by his side and he never knows what to expect - except that he loves to make art. He sees taking the photograph as merely the first step in creating that art.
In his own words, Didier says
We are as prism through which shines the white light of the Divine, Engaging us with a rainbow of infinite possibilities. Art is the objective expression of the Spiritual Self. We are all artists and our greatest work of art is You and I.The world is indeed a canvas – I hope that you enjoy mine.
