Occupy Wall Street

I ACCUSE all those critics of the “We are the 99%” of choosing to ignore the cancer that is eating away at the very essence of OUR American Dream

We the 99% have been reduced to a line item on the 1%’s Profit & Loss account.

The politicians pander to our vote once every 2 years and then execute the agenda paid for by those corporate funds that got them into power. They, the politicians, hear our voice only once, whilst those of the corporate lobbyists scream in the ear of OUR politicians 7/24/365 days a year, like psychotic Banshees representative of the desperation of their clients who are driven to make ever greater profits at any price, serenaded by the rules of engagement on Wall Street.

It is time that we the 99% are heard; time that the 1% are reminded that America also belongs to us.

We demand to redress the balance against this country’s current inequities for while mediocrity is commercial viable, each human life, each American Citizen is exceptional. This country belongs to all of us, without exception – that is what has made us great.

Sadly, many Americans fail to realize the trespass on our American Dream these past 40 years, vomiting the “Party Line” without really understanding that change today is necessary for a better tomorrow. This country was founded on ideals that have become an irrelevance in today’s political discussions.

Greed and pride have blinded our greater vision as we were fooled into looking the other way, all in good faith. We have been robbed and exploited by the very people we were invited to admire. We all failed to recognize what was going on. Well enough already! We have finally awoken.

When I hear comments such as Bloomberg’s on jobs or the unending silliness from Fox News or from the little man in the street who aspires to be part of the 1% – what I hear is an insecure argument protecting evident self-interest! Their logic is an insult to my intelligence. It becomes an unacceptable affront when they wrap themselves in the American Flag, abusing The Constitution and our Bill of Rights with the rhetoric of their transparent agendas.

Yet, these elitists refuse to acknowledge that the balance needs to be redressed, they refuse to recognize that for every Dollar a worker earns, it is amoral that a CEO earns close to $480. In failing to understand that the overall quality of life for every American is a priority for each to help the other achieve, these so called 1% are not true Americans. They are simply selfish, greedy individuals who have the pomposity to believe that THEY ARE the American Dream, accusing us, their fellow Americans, of being Communists because we have the audacity to finally stand up against them for profiting and plundering the future at our expense.

Their temerity is extraordinary!

IT IS TIME FOR CHANGE!

I am NOT a line item on somebody else’s P&L account. I am a person, I am an American citizen.

I am one of the 99%!
